Why Seniors Might Like Coffee Bars Like Kick...

Mobility challenges, getting between your TV chair and the kitchen counter coffee maker, become common into aging.

In my family, we shop snacks and drinks for adults like me (35+) and seniors like my dad (70+) because we like to hang out healthy at home.

We both love a hot cup of strong black coffee, but my dad doesn’t serve himself as much as he used to before Parkinson's and dementia.

Who would've imagined a coffee bar would exist?!

I’d only known coffee flavored ice cream and coffee flavored drinks - but a solid healthy bar made with a bona fide caffeine kick?

You have my attention!

This time, we're looking at a little pick me up with the perfect amount of sweetness to balance the bitter coffee and not-so-sweet dates.

It's coffee, caffeine, and dates inside a snackable That’s It coffee bar!

Pros: Good Yummies About Kick Coffee Bars

  1. It's natural ingredients and low sugar make it a pretty healthy snack.
  2. Individual packing makes it easy to grab, go, eat, and energize anytime.
  3. Caffeinated coffee bars can replace or reduce your traditional "liquid coffee" consumption if you're trying to cut down.
  4. Great for outdoor trips where protein plus caffeine keeps you active all day.
  5. People love them for a late-morning or after-lunch pick-me-up when even the idea of making a Kirkland/Nespresso bullet feels like too much work.
  6. Low calories and moderate sugars marks its place in a balanced daily food pyramid.

Cons: Bad Stuff About Kick Coffee Bars

  1. Lots of people don't like the flavor at all. Naysayers suggest it's like chewing stale coffee grounds: bitter, unsweetened, sticky paste in your teeth before you gulp a wad down.
  2. It's unrealistic for most consumers to think this could replace a morning cup of coffee altogether. You're more likely to add additional caffiene into your diet.
  3. People who don'e like the taste say the chocolate and vanilla flavors are not prominent (a.k.a "Gross", or worse "Like salty black licorice").
  4. Individual packaging means more wrappers in the trash.
  5. These bars don't keep you hydrated!
  6. Many fans of That's It fruit bars (eaten by kids, adults, and seniors alike) have expressed disappointment in these coffee food bar products.

What does Graycare (graycare.net) think?

Chewy Yum Yum for Some, or Not My Gnom Gnom for Others.

Like a not-so-sweet chocolate mole, basey-dark chocolate taste, but that kinda like a raison touch of fudge.

It’s a convenient, tiny-sized snack I like to talk to people about and give to friends, and eat when I’m alone and with my old dad.

The flavor ain’t too strong, so you should give it a try. Me and my dad gave them a try, and That’s It coffee bars get 6 out of 10 stars.

We bought the dark chocolate flavor, and we’re ready to buy the vanilla flavor next.

FAQ: Seniors Craving For More Coffee Bar Info

Are That’s It coffee bars a healthy breakfast substitute?

Just like coffee is not a substitute for a healthy breakfast, That’s It coffee bars alone are not a full breakfast.

The dates and almonds are a source of fiber, healthy fats, and carbohydrates - but you’d have to eat way too many “bars of coffee” to get a full serving of fruits and nuts.

For you diabetics in the audience, you should know That's It coffee bars contain natural sugars from dates which impacts blood sugar levels.

That’s it coffee bars are best enjoyed with your breakfast, not as a standalone breakfast alternative. You can eat too many bars of coffee just like you drink too many cups of coffee.

Coffee Bars for Adults, Seniors, and Diabetics?

Since I buy snacks with both me and my dad and my mind, and my dad's got dementia in his mind and Parkinson's in his hands, it's tough for him to eat a lot of the different snacks. He's a diabetic, so he needs zero sugar.

My dad doesn’t drink the coffee like he used to, and that's because he let’s the cup sit until the coffee turns room temperature, then he becomes disinterested, and there's no interesting my dad once he becomes disinterested.
