Parks in Gratiot County’s Cities

These Gratiot County Parks and Recreation destinations give you something to do through spring, summer, and fall.

Outside city limits of these three county centers, lesser-traveled townships and villages welcome visitors to come on down and stop by for a look-see.

Paul Hubscher County Park (Sumner)

Address: 8300 W Washington Rd, Sumner, MI 48889

Directions: Click here for Google Maps

A small pond water wonderland that welcomes walks by the water and kayaking. Public restrooms, a sandy beach for swimming, and a playground with pavilion make this park a go-to for outdoor family fun.

Lumberjack and Rivermen's Park (Riverdale)

Address: 9160 N Lumberjack Rd, Riverdale, MI 48877

Directions: Click here for Google Maps

The name says it all! Lumberjack park looks like Paul Bunyon set up camp on Riverdale’s Pine to build a campground-style woodland public park.

Haradine Park / West Park (Carson City)

Address: 11877 E Carson City Rd, Carson City, MI 48811

Directions: Click here for Google Maps

Like Michigan’s Adventure, it’s two parks for the price of one. West Park with sports fields and a splash park on the west of the water, and Haradine Park with a kids’ classic wood-built playground and waterbridge walkway.

Reed Park (North Star)

Address: Reed County Park, 3181 E Johnson Rd, Ithaca, MI 48847

Directions: Click here for Google Maps

Residents of North Star Township would rather say Reed Park is part of North Star, with Gratiot County Townships’ best websites, I do believe in the precedence set by North Star’s well documented historic tradition!

Pompeii Park (Pompeii)

Address: 7000 S State Rd, Ithaca, MI 48847

Directions: Click here for Google Maps

Just south of North Star, with a pond and nature walk for southern Gratiot residents to enjoy, and northern Gratiot residents to covet.

Grove Park (Carson City)

Address: 516 N Williams St, Carson City, MI 48811

Directions: Click here for Google Maps

The smaller of Carson City’s public parks full of gorgeous green foliage over the Michigan summer.

Sumner Centennial Park (Sumner)

Address: 1190 N Ferris Rd, Sumner, MI 48889

Directions: Click here for Google Maps

A plain grass area you can walk around with a creek that runs through it.
