Outside city limits of these three county centers, lesser-traveled townships and villages welcome visitors to come on down and stop by for a look-see.

A small pond water wonderland that welcomes walks by the water and kayaking. Public restrooms, a sandy beach for swimming, and a playground with pavilion make this park a go-to for outdoor family fun.

The name says it all! Lumberjack park looks like Paul Bunyon set up camp on Riverdale’s Pine to build a campground-style woodland public park.

Like Michigan’s Adventure, it’s two parks for the price of one. West Park with sports fields and a splash park on the west of the water, and Haradine Park with a kids’ classic wood-built playground and waterbridge walkway.

Residents of North Star Township would rather say Reed Park is part of North Star, with Gratiot County Townships’ best websites, I do believe in the precedence set by North Star’s well documented historic tradition!
