I’ve talked about supplying my daddio with beverages before. We’ve got a good system in place to my dad’s refreshing delight.

We’ve been using the Munchkin 360 Sippy Cup #ad with the stainless steel cup and lime green silicone-ish 360-degree spill-proof lid for over 2 years.

My dad’s 70+. My family’s living with Parkinson’s and Dementia. And here’s how we use the Munchkin sippy cup in style.

We’ve had the thing in our home for so long, I was surprised to see on Amazon today, the Munchkin is actually designed for little kids. I suppose that’s one thing to ponder: “Parkinson’s got my dad’s motor skills back to a 3-6 year old’s ability level.”

I remain resilient. Me and my dad sip forward.

Styling with the Munchkin!

How we use the Munchkin 360

My dad drinks from his Munchkin with style and dignity. “Hey Dad, heading to bed? How about a nightcap?”

Together, my dad and I tested out different drinking gear and adaptive drinking technologies.

Where to use it. My dad uses it in bed. My dad use it in the living room chair. My dad uses it at the kitchen table.

When to use it. My dad uses it on the days where his motor capabilities are pretty darn good.  my dad uses it on the days where he's Frozen like a stone and asking for help.

Hot beverages. Don’t use the Munchkin for hot beverages. Even though the cup is stainless steel, the lid will melt or warp when heated too hot.

The official answer from Munchkin FAQ is your sippy cup does not mix with hot water: “The formula dispensers are not meant to be boiled, microwaved or steam sterilized because they can melt or warp.”

Cold beverages. The Munchkin works like a dream for cold beverages. At least 4 stars.

My regular routine is tossing 4 ice cubes in there, plus a refrigerated sugar-free soda right before my dad gets into bed and turns on the Alexa tunes.

One 10 ounce Munchkin of Diet Coke and 4 ice cubes lasts my dad straight through ‘til 7:30 AM morningtime bathroom bump-up.

Washing. Washing the steel cup is no problem. The rubbery lid is like a pandora’s box. You have no idea what’s inside and maybe you don’t want to know.

Just kidding. Watch the official video on how to wash the Munchkin’s silicone-ish 360 sippy lid.

It’s easier to see how to wash it than to read how to wash it. Here’s Munchkin’s official video. Start at 25 seconds for the 360 cup.

When my dad sips, air comes in through the center, and liquid goes out through the rim. There’s a base that screws onto the cup, and 2 layers of softer silicone-ish material. You can pull them apart and put them back together again.

I’ve never cleaned my sippy lid to that degree. The most I’ve ever done is get a new toothbrush and scrub every surface. My dad’s never gotten sick from his sippy cup (to my knowledge?).

Materials it’s made of. When asked on Amazon, The Munchkin, Inc. representative responded: "Stainless Steel Miracle 360 Cup is made of Olefin Block Copolymer, Polypropylene , Silicone , Stainless Steel. This is a list of materials used in the entire cup, please note that we would not be able to provide you with a breakdown of what you are requesting as that falls under."

New Features 2023

The Munchkin has become so much a part of my family’s daily hydration routine that we’ve forgot to keep up with the latest and the greatest.

Who could blame us with 4 people living 36-Hour Days? Maybe it time for my family’s sippy sip to get a color upgrade?!

2023’s newest sets include two lids and a straw. Notice only one of the lids has an opening for the straw. Sippy Lovin’!

Extra straws, lids, and stoppers. My family is now using an outdated version of the Munchkin Stainless Steel 360 Sippy Cup. When I shopped on Amazon for the latest, I found the very 10 oz. sipper that we are using also comes with extra caps and the cover hey that looks new and a straw. So alluring!

Notice the straw has one of those “tumbler bumps” near the bottom. That’s unusual!? Usually tumbler bumps are at the top to keep the straw from dropping in. But this tumbler bump is at the bottom to keep the straw from jumping out.

Great-looking colors. I am so happy to see beautiful bold blue, green, magenta, and purple lid colors available. My dad drinks Munchkin in style by color-matching with the athletic apparel he lights to wear.

My dad’s got a lime green shirt the same color as the Munchkin.
