I take Nature's Craft Uric Acid Formula #ad to prevent my gout.
I'm 35, male, 180 pounds. I've used it for over 8 months.
After eating high-purine food, I take one of these to reduce numbness, tingling, and general inflammation in my left big toe, left knee, and both hands.
The reason I haven't gotten a gout flare in months is mostly a combination of diet, exercise, and sleep, but the extra help from this Uric Acid Formula pill after seafood or red meat gives me extra confidence I can avoid a gout flare.
I read an article informing me Americans in general take too many supplements, so much so that we just intake and excrete the goodness out of our bodies. So to avoid taking too much Uric Acid, I don't take it daily.
To vary my gout preventing measures even further, I alternate between Nature Craft's Uric Acid Formula, and Nature's Craft Tart Cherry.
To be honest, the basis is not completely medical. I like variety, and the Tart Cherry capsules are a deep purple color I enjoy more than the Uric Acid Formula capsule's sandy brown color. The capsules themselves are colorless. The color I'm describing is the substance inside.
Gout Begone!
I used to be on the light end of obese. Now I'm somewhat slimmer and a healthier body weight.
If you eat beer-fried-shrimp and chase with Uric Acid Formula Capsules, you like danger and need to settle down. You need to exercise and eat less. Avoid foods high in purines especially before bed. Take a break from work to walk, run, or ride a bike. Daily aerobic exercisers are far less likely to suffer a gout attack.
If your gout's in your toe, ankle, or knee. Try stretching. I hate stretching, so I take baths, and put my leggs against the wall perfectly perpendicular to get the blood and sediments in my big toe flowing back into my body - for just two minutes in the morning when I'm spritely. Stretching is a bother, but very effective to prevent gout attacks.
Don't abuse Uric Acid Pillz. Maybe on your birthday or out to eat you can "use the Uric in a jiffy" - but it's gotta be hard on your body to "slam high-purine food then slam anti-uric acid formula". Grow up, dude!
