It doesn’t really matter that on April 11, 2024 there was a news article claiming some angry staff raised issues complaining all about how a switch in Mission Point Healthcare Services ownership took place before or after health challenges experienced by elderly residents. The staff who reported this may have used some pretty accusatory words saying the health challenges seemed to fall outside of what other healthcare facilities might show. Now a less-angry controller staff there's gonna make everything better!
Graycare LLC doesn’t know all the facts.
I’m mostly summarizing what I found on the internet, but I did go visit a different Mission Point location and found it to be pretty normal and with nice people and nothing out of the ordinary. Honestly, I don’t know much about nursing care facilities in actuality, and the Mission Point place I visited looked pretty good, in order, sanitary, well-tended to, and with responsible respectful knowledgeable staff.
I think what matters is that elder care facilities are where older people go to feel comfortable when they can’t keep up with young technology users in the workforce anymore.
It doesn’t really matter if something out of the ordinary took place at Mission Point. I take that back.
It’s really sad when people suffer.
Suffering is a fact of life.
So maybe we can listen to the ways healthcare facilities Reduce Suffering.
Doing this no matter what is an act of vast benevolence. It sounds like something good people would do.
My whining on the internet today might put Quality of Life for Old Michiganders into focus.
Should Michigan expect the best care for everyone?
...I know I'm poor and won't get the best care, so please just tell it to me straight, Doc.

Mission Point Healthcare Services is well-known by the Service Mark (SM): Delivering Excellence. Every Life. Every Moment. Every Day.â„
Yesterday, I became aware of potential issues by reading the internet news.
Today, I visited one location in Grand Rapids.
Now, I am combining my internet research and in-person visuals listenables tangibles to tell you what I think is most true.
℠is the symbol for a “Service Mark” when it is not yet registered with the relevant national authority. Once the “Mark” becomes officially “Registered” then you start to use the ® symbol instead.
That means Mission Point still hasn’t officially registered their motto claiming Mission Point is excellent to everyone always. Does Mission Point deserve the ® symbol though?
I am documenting on the internet this ℠because, if it becomes an ®, then that means someone at Mission Point did work to craft a positive public image for Mission Point so that more customers will purchase Mission Point services and recommend Mission Point services to their aging and disabled friends.
It would be duly responsible to improve the quality of healthcare provided at a facility, before campaigning to build trust with the community.
Honestly, it might be easier for Mission Point leadership to switch names back to Healthy Living Network. Rather than spending budget on improving the services rendered, you can simply change the name to better suit the services rendered. If I was a consultant to Mission Point for purpose of they profit. I do recommend this a turn and burn investment and marketing strategy here. Just switch your sign. This is (much less costly in) America.
Mission Point is probably like tens of thousands of nursing facilities in its price tier. It’s unfortunate for Mission Point’s public relations team has to deal with this to get a salary and support their families, just like it's easy for people to get angry and gossip about what they hear in the news.
Have you ever gotten an advertisement for “The Best Nursing Home Near You”? Are you looking at one right now? Graycare is NOT a doctor.
What does a controller do in a nursing facility?
As the leader of the accounting team, a financial controller is in charge of closely monitoring a company’s financial health. They typically maintain, manage, and analyze financial statements, payroll, budgets, tax compliance issues, and more. [Read it on LinkedIn]

Did you know? The Mitchell Family Office of Michigan “Founded 2015, [...] has a proven track record of success originating in the healthcare sector and expanding into a rich diversified portfolio ranging from auto to luxury hospitality.” [Read it on Mitchell Family Office]
The Mitchell Family Office bought Mission Point company in 2021 and Mission Healthcare bought Healthy Living Network in 2021 too, so wrinkly Michigan consumers need to think twice about which friends they actually buying nursing care from. Do you keep up on your corporate mergers and acquisitions of the Michigan healthcare industry? Me neither!
One family owns it all! The Mitchell Family Office portfolio includes American Health Communities (AHC), American Health Partners, American Quality Care, AmPharm, REHAB America, Tennessee Quality Care, TruHealth, UNITY Psychiatric Care, Avitus Orthopedics, CJS Global, Cleargage - as well as exited portfolio content including - Healthy Living Network (a Mission Healthcare Company), Lorient Capital, MedCerts, Summerville Ford, Centria Healthcare, The CORE Institute, Toyota of Bristol (TN), U.S. Medical Management (USMM) Accountable Care Partners ACO, Altair Health, Grace Hospice (Troy, MI), Pinnacle Senior Care (Grand Rapids, MI), Visiting Physicians Association (VPA) a.k.a. HarmonyCares Medical Group, and The Home Durable Medical Equipment (DME).
This is strong evidence the Mitchell Family Office has dinner on the table in 2025. We can agree most Michigan generationals don't own this many healthcare companies. I'm so jealous! Please adopt me.
It doesn’t really matter that on April 11, 2024 there was a news article claiming some angry staff raised issues complaining all about how a switch in Mission Point Healthcare Services ...unless... It matters when your company promises people you deliver excellence for every life every moment every day.
An investor holding both a current portfolio and an exited portfolio, is typically an indicator of getting involved while you make it worth more money, then selling it off to make the money you earned. It is very smart, and a very common practice. It’s a good investment strategy, and just kinda how the world works. I think it works that way in Traverse City too where Michael Moore once or still does live.

I am a person who visited one Mission Point location in Grand Rapids on April 13, 2024. The place I visited looked pretty good. Seriously, it looked just about as good as the nursing facility my dad was in before he passed. The facilities, staff, and residents - I didn’t see any more suffering than normal. Nursing care is a challenging and emotionally difficult industry brought by the unfortunate fact of bodily decline, so let's build some empathy here, Michigan, and keep up the free speech!
