- Speaking about the United States in general, homecare.org cites $1,018 per month for “10 hours of personal care assistance [... when …] Mom and Dad have chosen to age in place, but are having a hard time”. That averages to $25.00 per hour.
- If you qualify for Medicaid to receive State-funded In-Home Care through the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS), you’ll need to pay your individual caregiver $9.90 per hour as of 2020, but that’s likely to increase to $12.00 per hour in 2023.
