‘Flint Tale’ is a pretty new movie about people living in Flint, Michigan worth watching for free online. Filmed and released in 2019 or 2021, ‘Flint Tale’ has accrued an IMDb rating of 7.7/10 stars.

What happens when Chastity’s WNBA career dreams fall to the wayside from a torn ACL? Let’s see what her father outspoken “Chief” Hartwell has to say when he gets out of prison on a technicality.

‘Flint Tale’ is the story of former Flint Police Chief Daniel Hartwell (played by Hawthorne James), whose two daughters and lost heartthrob struggle to make ends meet in Flint Town. “Chief” Hartwell wants to make things right for having wrongfully taken blame for Flint’s water crisis. “There’s damned lead in the pipes.” Chastity, played by Tecoya Harris, has a Penn State education and high standards that divide her and her stripper sister Destiny (played by Sirelle Wilkerson).
After the word got out about Flint’s bad water, lead water isn’t the only thing on this Flint family’s mind. At least their late grandmother left them a house to stay in without paying rent to a landlord. They didn’t have enough money to replace their house pipes, though, and it wouldn’t have mattered since the lead leaked in from the city pipes. Each character brings a unique flavor of Flint City Grit for self-preservation and having your family’s back in the end.

Chief Hartwell has a strong personality, tall stature, interesting haircut, and magnetic charm. He’s a wily, unpredictable ex-cop who feels a lot like a union boss type enforcer. His look and swagger add real merit to watching the entire movie.
I enjoyed watching his swagger and will never forget his hairstyle. He’s the kind of character who could easily hold his own in an old-school action movie showdown—think sparring with Rambo or even clashing with an aged David Hasselhoff.
Beneath his gruff exterior and iffy track record with women, Chief Hartwell protects his family like a good family man. He may not be the “perfect” father, but he shows up when it counts. Again, it shows up in unpredictable, wily, and stylish ways all throughout the film.
In my opinion, you watch Flint Town for the dynamic between the two main characters: Chief Hartwell and Chastity Hartwell.
Chastity is definitely the protagonist you want to see win in the end. She’s beautiful, driven, and aspirational, but she’s also back in Flint where she started. Making money without giving up her morals shows her uniquely Flint-style struggles that bring out the very best in her after she’s got nowhere but back home after her torn ACL on the Penn State women’s basketball team.
Full of ambition, tenacity, and beauty, Chastity is a great role model for young Flintstones, to keep fighting for your dreams.
Poppy - strong, independent, and not afraid to tell you her opinion - Poppy moves through life man to man on her own terms. She’s clearly out to get what she wants, but she’s still loyal to people close to her in the end.
As the movie unfolds, yes, Poppy takes advantage of others for their belongings, wealth, and power, but that’s part of Poppy’s Flint survival instinct
I literally laughed out lout when Chief Hartwell was smelling up a “Potsssssss” while confronting Poppy and Potts about their obvious romantic affair. Chief Hartwell can smell a Pots for miles with that sarcastic hiss, and the entire movie is a hilarious dynamic between these two men, all over Poppy.
Lieutenant Mark Potts is the slimy character you hope to see lose in the end. Potts works to get power for himself, especially when it comes to wooing different ladies around town. When you remember the movie is set in Flint, Michigan, you reflect on how power corrupts water in American pipes sometimes.
The Uber Driver named Marc is handsome and has a respectful charm that adds a little love story into the film.
Dealing with money troubles, Chastity needs a ride from a Detroit strip club back to Flint to take care of some things that are important in life, and Marc in the Uber is the knight in shining armor who arrives.
He’s smooth without being overbearing, an easy guy to get along with even the first time you meet. I pretty good Uber driver, I suppose. Between Detroit and Flint, Marc the Uber Driver shows there’s room for kindness, and some nice guys are still out there.
